Duct Sealing GTA (“we”, “us”) provides Aeroseal duct sealing for homes across the Greater Toronto Area and nearby regions. This policy explains what personal information we collect through ductsealinggta.ca, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number and message.
- Home questionnaire: your name, phone, email and home address, answers about your home and heating and cooling system, and the photos you upload of your furnace.
- Phone calls and emails: whatever you choose to share with us when you contact us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Website analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as pages viewed, time on site, general location (city level), device and browser type. This uses cookies.
- Advertising: We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and may use Google Ads tracking. These help us see whether our ads lead to calls or form submissions and show our ads to people who have visited our site. They use cookies.
How we use it
- To answer your questions, prepare your quote and plan your appointment.
- To review your questionnaire answers and furnace photos so we know your setup before we arrive. Your photos are used only for this purpose.
- To deliver our service and stand behind our work, including warranty support.
- To improve our website and measure how well our advertising works.
We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Who we share it with
We only share information with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:
- our website host and WordPress plugins, which store form submissions and photos
- Microsoft 365, which handles our business email
- Google (Analytics and Ads) and Meta (Pixel), for analytics and advertising
Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and manage ad preferences in your Google and Facebook account settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to quote, complete and support your job, including any warranty period, or as required by law. After that, we delete it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, such as password-protected accounts, limited access and encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to legal requirements. Contact us using the details below. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
